So I’ve got a tried and true for you: an outfit of the day. I’ve just posted it on my new Instagram account: the one I’ll be using for not personal stuff. You can see its feed on the right side of this blog.

Outfit

In the meantime, let me just go over what I’m wearing.  This forest green sweater dress actually has an A-line skirt (one of the only ones I’ve found that wasn’t body con), and it’s by Jessica Simpson. The belt is anthropologie and the brown moto leggings are some label called Jules & James. I got them and the collar necklace from Winners (Canadian version of TJ Maxx).

You can’t really see the necklace or the boots unless you look at the instagram picture. As for those ankle boots, I thrifted them. They’re a faux snake skin.

Makeup

I’m trying to use up my Bare Minerals Get Started kit, so a lot of my base look is from that. I got the kit in the colour Fairly Light. I used the Prime Time Original Foundation Primer that came with the kit, as well as the original powder foundation. I also tried contouring my face for once, and so used the bronzer that came with the kit, in the colour Warmth.

I used 100% Pure’s Brightening Concealer in Peach Bisque, as well as their Fruit Pigmented Blush in Pink Plum. As my highlight I used a tiny bit of Hard Candy’s Glow All the Way.

On my eyes, I used two colours from a limited edition Clinique palette called ‘neutral territory 2’. It’s similar to their ‘Wear Everywhere Neutrals’ 8-pan pallette in Pinks. The colours I used were the light shade of neutral territory duo for my highlight, the brown shade of the polar blue quad on my lid, and the dark brown shad of morning java quad. I’m not kidding, those are actually the colour’s names. However, I find that those ‘browns’ are much more purple than brown.

For my eyeliner, I used 100% Pure’s Fruit Pigmented Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in the colour Silver Star, and I am also wearing their Fruit Pigmented Ultra Lengthening Mascara in Black Tea.

Finally, on my lips I slathered on some of 100% Pure’s Fruit Pigmented Lip Gloss in Raspberry Sorbet. Can’t find it on their website, might be called something else now. It’s close to their colour Sheer Strawberry, I suppose.
